It seems that someone has created an evil clone of you named Alexoor, who was created to kidnap all of your friends and take over your very own fantasy world which is based off your favorite childhood video games.
You begin with one character, Alex, who embarks on a quest to rescue his friends, and stop the evil Alexoor from taking over your fantasy world. As you beat the different seven stages, you will unlock new friends to play as on your quest.
Note: In order for the game to save properly, you MUST go to the character select screen every time you exit a stage or whenever you get to the end cutscene (press enter), otherwise the game will not save your progress!
Another great game by BigAl0104! This time in DEMO form!
This one is just a lot of fun to play! Music is great, graphics are in your recognizable style and very difficult gameplay!
I'm kinda upset about the fact that it doesn't have a level up system like Doomsday Picnic but I can understand since this is only your second game.
Good job, I'm very exited for the final release! Comment edited by The MPP on 21/04/2018 Comment edited by The MPP on 21/04/2018
Good concept, and generally fun to play through, but there's a lot that could be improved. Enemies, they lack proper AI, as in if they see you, they will stay looking at you, instead they just go back and forth, hitting you or not. The first large text screen, the one with the evil guy on it, that needs to be heavily edited because it was very difficult to read. The level design, not trying to hurt feeling, but I honestly think the levels were pretty lousily designed, like on the first level, big walls were just a bunch of rocks. And make the special attacks worth using(stronger), they don't seem to have much of an advantage over regular attacks, and I've opted for just using the regular attack over it. And the story isn't really that well explained at the beginning, other than a random guy taking random people from a random place that I have no clue about yet, then I'm dropped right in. The game was fun to play, but like I said before, you could improve on a lot. I know this is a demo, but this is also feedback, and hopefully you read it, and improve upon it Thanks for reading this chunk of text
Thanks for the feedback! And for the music, I know they are from other games, but I've been using MIDI's instead of the actual tracks (well most of them are actual tracks) and that's 'cause it's all I've got and I'm not even gonna sell the game anyway, but that was the point for this game since it's based off video games.
