I think it might be hard to beat me in this regard. My level editor for gridquest, it simply outputs a variety of parameters to an .ini index file. In runtime, at the start of a new save file, the game renders all the dungeons randomly based off the parameters. However, I think that that might be the single ugliest most user-unfriendly editor I've seen in a while. Only thing I could have done to make it scarier is to swap out the blank background for a giant picture of phizzy

I've made some rather unfriendly level editors in my day, but as long as it's not intended for public use, who cares what it looks like as long as it works? It's there for YOU to use to make your game. As long as you understand it, right?
Unless you're making it specifically with public usage in mind. Then you need to add a bunch of flowers to the interface. Don't ask me why, just DO IT!
